I gave my student's their first quiz last week and because I wrote it I knew it was going to be hard...  I decided that it'd be best to cheer them up with some of my famous lemon bars!  While I can never fully diverge the recipe, you can see the ingredients and the general process in the pictures below. 

On my recent trip to Portugal I enjoyed these delicious little custard tarts!!  They've got a buttery and flaky crust that is filled with a creamy vanilla custard.  Although these tarts were delicious, they were probably one of the most sophisticated recipes I have ever made.  That being said, I'd bake them again in a heartbeat!  http://leitesculinaria.com/7759/recipes-portuguese-custard-tarts-pasteis-de-nata.html
